Welcome to the Cairns & District Rugby Union website

Whether you are tall and lean and leap high for the ball
Or are proportioned just perfectly to scrummage and maul
Maybe you're the nippy little player who's difficult to catch
Or the big barnstormer who rips through the gaps
If you dream of being a Wallaby and winning the cup?
Or simply that it will be Saturday when you wake up
Well this is your guide to Rugby in the far north
The Game they Play in Heaven, our passion, our sport

The Eve of Cairns and District  Rugby Union Grand finals are upon us, with 6 teams competiting for Grand Final Glory, from last weekend's games we had 3 teams book their hard earnt spots into our 2008 Grand Finals.

Womens kicked off first with Barron over coming a new look Brothers outfit 34 - 10, with Barron's Fullback Carey Eccles scoring a double to help her team get over the Line .

Reserve Grade was our 2007 grand final rematch with JCU Defeating Barron Trinity this time 32 - 5, George Andy was strong in both attack and Defence to help his team win against the challeging Barron midfield.

A Grade seen Port Douglas show their Metal against a determined Southside team with the end score being 32 - 17, Ryan Stove worked expectional hard in the forwards and Ports backs defended a onslaught from the giant and creative backs of Southside Crusaders.
